Q: What are your hours?
A: We are now open Sundays from 1 PM - 4 PM and Thursdays until 7 PM. Please click here for our full schedule.
Q: There seems to be more bead stores popping up in the Rochester, NY, area... not to mention all of the traveling bead shows that come to town... so what makes your shop different?
A: We pride our shop on its Quality Products, Top-Notch Customer Service, and Decades of Continuous Learning! We have also “blazed the beading trail” by specializing in private beading lessons and customizing jewelry for Weddings, Proms, Anniversaries, and Special Occasions!
As we explain in Our Story and as described in an August 2008 article in the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle newspaper, we purchased the shop in 1984 and have watched beading and jewelry trends come and go. We’ve also been exposed to tons of fantastic beading tips and techniques that we pass on to our customers every day over-the-counter and through our exclusive private lessons...there are endless opportunities to pass on our knowledge. Furthermore, our popular Bead Club Reward Program has helped us “give back” to our customers by rewarding them for their years of dedicated patronage.
Q: Do you offer classes?

Q: Can I register for a private beading lesson online?
A: Yes! Submit your info on our contact page.
Q: Are you located in Schoen Place in Pittsford?
A: We are located right next door to Schoen Place in the Northfield Common shopping plaza.
Q: Do you sell gift certificates!
A: Yes! Ask for a gift certificate during your next visit to our store! We would also be more than happy to make arrangements with you over the phone if you are unable to visit our shop. Just call us at (585)586-7230 during our business hours and we can take your payment over the phone. You may also send us your payment via PayPal.com using our e-mail address beadsnthings.ny@gmail.com.
