OUR STORY
Beads ‘N Things was first established in the Village of Pittsford in 1968. Over the decades, the store transitioned from a bead shop in the 1960’s and 70’s, to a bead and craft shop during the 70’s and 80’s.
We purchased the shop in 1984 and after a decade of selling craft supplies and beads, we saw the demand for beads and beading supplies begin a fast ascent. In 1995, we converted the shop back to its origins of the 60’s and 70’s... back to a full-service bead shop! After donating the leftover craft supplies to local charity organizations, we reorganized the store to make room for all of the new beads. June 2008 brought about more updates and changes as we continued to expand our bead offerings. We stock a unique and inspiring selection of quality beads from across the USA and around the world. Among the millions of beads we carry in our shop, we offer Japanese and Czech glass seed and bugle beads, stunning Swarovski crystals and rhinestones, Czech and vintage German glass beads, and thousands of strands of semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls. We also carry sterling silver and gold-filled beads along with an impressive selection of quality sterling, gold-filled, pewter and plated metal findings.
In addition to our bead assortment, we carry all of the tools and supplies needed for your beading projects along with a wide array of instructional books from beginner to advanced beading levels. We also carry the most popular beading magazines, including back issues.
